Eight adventurous ceramicists arrived on Sunday, the 8th of April for a week of intensive study.
The course explored clay and glaze materials with days (and nights) of extensive mixing and firings.
Kilns were kept busy with one bisque and no less than three glaze firings (including one Raku firing evening).
Ready prepared glazes were used, along with personal mixing and testing of raw materials to gain experience with a range of glazes, opacifiers and colours.
Evenings were augmented by delicious meals accompanied by conversation and shared experiences.
Our next course will be a making and decorating week in August... with just a few places left.
